I visited Mama Maria’s with my grandmother, mother and aunt for lunch. I purchased a soda while my family ate lunch. I was not feeling well so did not order anything to eat. I had a BITE of my mother’s sandwich and she was charged a $2.00 “sharing fee” at the register. We were never warned and furthermore have never heard of such a fee being imposed at a small establishment during lunchtime. CHEAP, CLASSLESS AND RUDE. I like supporting small businesses but will no longer support this one.

In the past 12 hours I've had their meatballs with ziti for dinner and their breakfast sandwich with pork roll. The best. If you're social-distancing, their to-go food is perfect.

The staff was nice and accommodating, we had two small children who were fussy, and still were treated nicely. Thank you the food was Great!!!

Easily one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. The Old World Italian was excellent along with the Estevio. On top of the great lunch, I received four of their 12” rolls. Without a doubt, I’ll be going back for more.

Called on the phone yesterday afternoon to ask about the food and they with a less than friendly attitude told me to go online, and answered other questions in a bitter tone. Doesn't make me want to rush to go and buy a sandwich or have lunch or dinner in that kind of environment. I know a lot of people put up with chitty service for a good sub hoagie but eventually it will catch up to this restaurant too. Unwelcoming and ungrateful demeanor and made us feel stupid for asking a couple questions. We are local and could have given lots of repeat business over years, just recently became interested in a good hoagie. Will be looking for other places, unless we get contacted by the owner to resolve.

Probably your only oasis in the desert that is South Jersey's hoagie shops. These are made with high quality meats and top notch bread. I have yet to find its equal out side of South Philly.

When you're one of the few stores open on Monday apparently, their sandwiches are fantastic and the hospitality is like walking into your own Italian family.

I just ordered breakfast and was blown away! Everything was cooked to perfection, I have 20 yrs. experience cooking and first thing you learn is if you can cook an egg, you can cook anything. I can't wait to do their sandwiches, good damn, that was good! My wife is Sicilian and is probably the only one who can't cook! I'ma send her to you guys for a couple of days!

Best variety of hoagies in the area, try dante's inferno if you are man enough.

Not bad, but one of the staff was going hard about how they're the best in the state. Not city or town, state. This was foolish to do before I got my food, because the hype was a let down. I was told you can't actually order cheesesteaks and that I was lucky to be getting one. I mean they are a hoagie shop, but still that was a bit surprising. I wanted to be like "well you're lucky to have a customer" since the place was empty at lunch time. Also the drinks are expensive and the cheesesteak was really not that good at all. I didn't feel lucky. Still I've had worse and their hoagies are world class. Stick with what you know.

Great sandwich. I had a delicious pannini with smoked mozzerrella, grilled chicken, spinach and aioli with roasted peppers. The service was great and the meal prep was quick and served hot.

I have dined in Mama Marie’s countless times and am never disappointed. My sandwich was delectable. Will definitely be returning! I had the “Pat” sandwich.

Deli style Not sure if staff is used to serving customers at the tables.Was very uncomfortable having breakfast here. Had to ask for everything extra effort to serve us.Food was cold, girl took a break on us and left store. Our order was sitting on the counter for 5 minutes already finished. Guess it was waiting for us to serve ourselves.Sad.

Fantastic Paninis! Quality ingredients. As soon as you open the door, and the smell of meats and cheeses hits your nose. If you like chicken, get a Godfather, if eggplant is what you crave, ask for the Sinatra. If you're in town shopping or driving near Pitman, you need to stop here and taste real food!

If you don't mind waiting for a couple of minutes, I'd full heartedly suggest Mama Marie's. It is the best sandwich shop I've been to yet, and has an amazing atmosphere with their other foods (those that I've tried, obviously) being amazing. Five stars for sure.

Food here is amazing! I’ve gone back more than 5 times but won’t be anymore because of the service. The guy that answers the phone/cashes you out at the register is rude and makes it seem like customers are an inconvenience.

If it was not for the fact that they have delicious hoagies, I would give them 0 stars. Last time I was here, they gave us meatless hoagies!! I have never had an experience like that!! The woman didn't even care about us and was being rude and on her phone the whole time when we were trying to order. Sometimes there is a long wait so you better take a seat. The hoagies (when made with meat) are huge but delicious!!!

I love trying mom and pop type places. This place will not disappoint. Their sandwiches are good and they serve breakfast. It is located on broadway in Pitman. It's a perfect place to grab a bite and then go shop or catch a show at the theater.

Another small business in Pitman, great hoagies, breakfast is good too. The owner is a good guy too, hooked my girlfriend up and I up with some free bread.

I tried the Hoagie places in the whole area here around Mantua Mama Marie's is the best Dominic makes the best hoagies I recommend the Little Nicky or the dinghy blue....... fantastic.... you will not be let down with the taste

Fantastic food at very reasonable prices. Never a bad meal here. Definitely the best hoagies around. The diablo hoagies are very spicy but absolutely delicious. The dingy blue is one of my personal favorites! They also make great party platters here.

Their breakfast sandwiches are so good! But it's definitely been hit-or-miss with the service. I was honestly never going to go back after my first encounter with an incredibly rude person that *berated* me for picking up an order my office placed through GrubHub. The order wasn't even ready when I got there, and it was past when it was estimated. But I went in a few weeks later, and both of the people I spoke with were very nice and helpful. So, definitely get breakfast...just don't try to have it delivered!
